We all know I’m a truly awful blogger, I’m aiming to change that this year. Starting with an old wedding I have wanted to share for blooming ages.
This is Steph and Dan’s awesome Manchester wedding with added Crystal Maze and punk pop!! I first met these guys approximately a million years ago when Steph was a bridesmaid. I then met them again when Steph was bridesmaid for a second time…. notice the theme yet? So when they asked me to do their wedding I knew it was going to be all sorts of awesome. I knew lots of their guests who would be attending and more than anything, I knew that this lot knew how to party.
The wedding took place at Great John Street Hotel, a hotel I absolutely love. It is in the most glorious old building and has been styled to perfection. The rooms are airy and a pleasure to shoot in and the rooms for dinner and to party are cosy and intimate. Its ace.
On the day I found out that a new Crystal Maze experience had opened up around the corner and I was told that they don’t let people just go in to take pictures. Well all I can say is never underestimate the power of a woman in a wedding dress. The best part of the Crystal Maze was always the Crystal Dome and thanks to a vert persuasive bride, we were treated to a spin in the Crystal Dome to collect some golden tickets!!
In the evening we had Ben Haird from Crash the Wedding on the decks blasting out punk pop, hip hop and some awesome cheese. Needless to say, he had them all dancing.
On top of all that I got to hang out with the ever lovely Leanne from Blooming Lovely Films - one of the best film makers in the UK
Big thanks to Steph and Dan for having me at their wedding and also to Great John Street Hotel for looking after us all.
